(left me for dead) So the front group ended up as eight chaps, and we were some distance ahead of the other group (where Jon sensibly stayed, taking it steady the whole day) I felt I was stretched, but not over-stretched for the day. The next bit of the ride I struggled a bit, I was trying to eat a bar and had a lot of difficulty doing that and keeping with the group. Once I’d consumed the bar, I was back on the group and we continued, rolling along to the next climb, without issue. As it turned out the descent and flat were far from that, only the last 10 were flat. Those last 10km were really nice, just rolling along in the group back to the hotel. Of course Jon had the key to the room, so I had to arrange Juan to open the room for me.(frightening how easy that was without and credential check or anything!)

A recovery drink, a shower and Jon turned up. at least the internet is moving faster again, so I could actually upload the day’s ride to Garmin Connect. We put the kit into the washing machine, and relaxed in anticipation of the evening. Dinner in the hotel tonight.

Denia Training Camp: Training Day 1 A good night’s sleep is so helpful, improves the mood and the ability to execute so much. We woke just before 8, consumed tea, and made ready for breakfast. The hotel breakfast is suitable, a buffet with cereals, bread, cheese and ham, eggs, tortillas, fruit and juice. […]

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[4

post-320","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-etape
["GET
